Bev Kelly
Occupational Therapist and Owner
Bev qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1989. She worked in the NHS for 11 years, primarily in the field of adult disability. Through this, she developed a special interest in orthopaedics, rheumatology, and hand therapy. In 1999, Bev set up an independent Occupational Therapy practice with fellow OT, Ailsa Reston providing Occupational Therapy for a wide range of services and clients. As our experience in independent practice developed so our interest in extending our knowledge to provision of equipment grew.
RKS Ltd was developed in 2008. The primary aim was to provide accessible services from OT assessment through to the provision of appropriate and cost effective equipment and adaptations. Having maintained a successful dealership since this time, Bev’s experience within the industry has flourished (although she is always keen to learn more!)
Since Ailsa’s retirement in 2023, Bev is now the sole owner of RKS. As if running the business is not enough, OT is her passion and she maintains a clinical caseload of regular clients, assessments for equipment and adaptations.
Bev has a high level of expertise in the assessment and provision of complex mobility equipment and a passion for good seating and posture. She strives to provide an efficient and effective service with the support of her fabulous team at RKS Ltd.
Bev is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists, College of OT specialist section for Independent OTs, BHTA, and Posture and Mobility Group. She engages in regular CPD activity to maintain professional standards and to ensure the business remains innovative and progressive.
